To date this is my bestselling book on general psychology. It describes paranoia and tells therapists, loved-ones and paranoid themselves what to do about it. I wish more people would read it; it might save a few poor souls from suffering and a few innocent victims of paranoids from losing their well-being or lives to a random paranoid outburst. I get particularly concerned when I read stories in the newspapers about men who seem to be paranoid being treated as if they are depressed with antidepressants that seem to have aggravated their paranoia and helped turn them violent and even homicidal.

From the Library Journal, a starred review:
Kantor assimilates existing texts and states his own views both firmly and without pretension, an excellent model for teaching and therapy….nonprofessional readers will gain an understanding of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral diagnosis and treatment, along with clarification of various syndromes that mimic or disguise paranoia. Patients, family members, co-workers, and friends will benefit from practical advice illustrated with well-chosen examples. A unique treatment; highly recommended for all psychology collections and larger general libraries. September 1, 2004.

From Metapsychology:
It is a good introduction for people who want information about this disease. It contains excellent descriptions and categorizations of what delusions generally are. It is a profitable psychological and clinical essay for therapists and paranoid themselves. May 2, 2006.

From The Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease:
This book is an important and useful work…particularly beneficial to lay persons seeking to understand paranoid behavior and learn more about potential causes and treatments…also…helpful for clinicians who are relatively new to working with paranoid individuals…a valuable guide to….paranoia, and likely helpful to many clinicians, sufferers, and family members. September 2005.
